The Legendary Shaolin Monks

The Legendary Shaolin Monks are back!

Following their critically-acclaimed ‘Wheel of Life’ and ‘Kung Fu Masters’ tours, they are here this time round to put up a fantastic new show, SHAOLIN, in which we get to catch 20 amazing Shaolin martial artists showcase their impeccable Kung Fu skills. The show would be held at MasterCard Theatres, Marina Bay Sands, from 13 July for a limited season.

Being one of the most revered martial arts traditions around the world, Shaolin Kung Fu bears a beautiful history, spanning over a period of fifteen centuries and hails from the legendary Shaolin Temple in the foothills of the Song Shang mountain range in China’s Henan province.  Shaolin Monks are highly respected warriors who have honed their Kungfu techniques to near-perfection over the years through Buddhist Meditation and rigorous martial arts training.

The Legendary Shaolin Monks
The cast would bring to us an incredible display of impressive, mind blowing feats.  This includes a display of Chi Gong, Tai Chi and choreographed combat performances demonstrating the use of traditional Kung Fu weapons.  We also get to see formidable stunts such as having the Kung Fu masters smash through wooden staves with their bodies, break marble slabs and bricks with their heads and even watch them lying on sharpened spears!  You would surely be left wondering if the entire cast was actually made up of a bunch of super humans!

SHAOLIN is an excellent production. The choreography is stunning.  It has a fantastic backdrop.  The effects of the dramatic lighting and sounds accompanied by the cast’s performance serves to highlight the very essence of traditional Shaolin Kung Fu.  More than ever, this is the show if you are looking for a perfect combination of superb theatricality and the sheer potential of physical human strength.

The tenacity and brilliance of these Kung Fu masters is no doubt awe-inspiring, and we cannot wait to be blown away by their spectacular performance already! Get your tickets now!
